Parent Infant Early Intervention Program
Services and Supports

 
  • Assistive Technology – Staff has the ability to assist parents in the use of FM systems, hearing aids, and augmentative   communication devices

  •  Cochlear Implants Staff is trained to provide appropriate services to children with cochlear implants

  •  Music Therapy - included in play groups

  •  Auditory Training- Sound awareness training that provides children the opportunity to develop the maximum use of their residual hearing

  • Parent Training - Active learning by parents of communication techniques though observation and participation in the program. 

  • Parent Workshops – topics determined by the needs of the children

  • Family Sign language classes – in the home and playgroups

  •  Informational Material Lending Library Includes books, magazines, Sign language instructional videos, and ASL storytelling videos

  •  Transition planning – Participation by staff in the development of the IEP for placement at the age of three
